Ways of Giving
Outright Gifts of Cash
Outright gifts of cash are the easiest way to participate in the campaign. Donors may give cash as an outright gift, or they can make a pledge and satisfy the commitment over a period of up to five years.
Giving Appreciated Property
Giving appreciated property can be a low-cost way of making a gift to Gilman and can often have favorable tax benefits. Gifts can take the form of appreciated securities or real estate. Please contact the Associate Director of Development if you are considering this type of gift, as well as your financial advisor about tax advantages.
Deferred gifts, such as bequests, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and pooled income fund gifts are attractive alternatives to many donors.
To discuss types of planned gifts and crediting details, please contact the Director of Gift Planning.
Named Gift Opportunities
A gift to Gilman can be a meaningful way to honor a beloved family member, faculty member, or friend. There are numerous opportunities to designate a space on campus as a thoughtful tribute. One may also name an endowed fund.
Contact the Associate Director of Development for more information on naming opportunities.
